Lindy Hop Values – a #FrankieMonth initiative

Like Frankie Manning himself, we value:

  1. Having fun dancing the Lindy hop

  2. Historic authenticity in Lindy hop dancing and music

  3. Improvisation and continued innovation

  4. Close relationship between the music and the dance

  5. Maintaining a true community among dancers

  6. Mutual respect and cooperation

  7. Inclusivity (diverse backgrounds: geographic, ethnic, socio-economic, age, ability, LGBTQ, gender roles, etc.)

  8. Outreach and welcome to newcomers

  9. Excellence, which can be encouraged through friendly competition
